While I agree that interaction with the BOD is important (I did 'watch' the 
meeting year before last, when I was able to attend the Reno convention & 
mtg; and I do occasionally email Barbara McC) I respectfully disagree with 
both of your premises here.   

#1 I was speaking to a specific issue (clarifying responsibilities r/t the NC 
ride) and don't believe your global response, however valid, negates the 
importance of  the issue.

#2.  I believe it is the privelege of the membership to express their 
concerns and questions, whether they maintain "a continuous dialog" with 
their RD or not.
