Re: RC: Bladder infection?

Rhonda:
According to our online vet Dr. Mike Lowder of the University of
Georgia Large Animal Clinic and School, it is possible for a horse to
have a bladder or kidney infection, up to and including kidney
stones. Read these articles for a few questions submitted.

http://www.horsecity.com/stories/073101/ask_soreback_ML.shtml,
http://www.horsecity.com/stories/100801/ask_urination_ML.shtml and
http://www.horsecity.com/stories/091701/ask_urinaryinfec_ML.shtml

I would definitely get her vet checked. We all know how miserable one
of those can be. It shouldn't be much different for our equine
friends.

According to Dr. Mike it could be something as simple as a change in
diet. Why take the chance?

Good luck with her. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon.
