Re: Re: racism or protection?

CM,
No, "we" will not make that same mistake again. I was not even born until
15 yrs after WWII ended. I can only figure, they were scared, ignorant,
uneducated, and had no "wordly experience". I mean that last as folks who
had no real interest other than of their own little narrow world and
upbringing. So they fear what they are not familiar with or that which they
have not been introduced to. I am southern born and raised and feel I have
every right to say this!:) I am a scientist by nature, a God fearing and
loving by heart. I am a warrior when pushed and "give no quarter", as my
Scottish hubby says.
I, in no way!, agree with what happened in the past. But we cannot make it
different by wishing it were so....not like the ending of the Pearl Harbour
movie...which I have only heard about, not seen, so I cannot really coment.
(GrandPap was on a destroyer in that theatre, by the way). I am of German
discent....wonder how many of my ancestors were incarcerated into those
internment camps?
No, we will not repeat that again! All I have spoken to regarding that,
feel "protective" of those who have left their homelands, relocated here to
build a life, against the oppression of people/governments of the country
they left. Didn't All of Us do That at some Point in Our History? German
and Scotts...we suffered hatred apon immigration too. Does Not Mean it Is
Acceptable
