I remember an incident from many years ago, when an individual chewed me up
one side and down the other about AERC's many shortcomings.  I suggested
that he should run for the BOD and help change things.  He said, "I don't
want to get involved with POLITICS!"  I might suggest that it can't be had
both ways.  If you don't like how things are being run as they are, run
yourself and make your viewpoints heard!!!  I've had people tell me they
don't want to run for the BOD, they just want to RIDE.  And then they
complain about the decisions the BOD make.  Apathy is the biggest enemy of
democracy.
