Re: Re: The beauty of democracy

OK guys,
I have to openly apologize for requesting at the outset of the responses to
Tuesday's tragedy that we keep discussion and posts limited to horse and
endurance related subjects.
I have been absolutely appalled by the racist and inhumane, thoughtless and
downright dangerous remarks and responses from people with whom I thought I
had something in common. Sadly, our interest in endurance riding is the ONLY
thing I have in common with some of them.
But, after my initial shock and abhorrence, I realize that the good, humane
and clear thinking people on this list (thankfully they seem to be by far in
the majority) are willing to carry on a civil discussion and may actually
help some to see how closed/narrow minded and harmful and dangerous is their
way of thinking and reacting. So please accept my apology and my thanks for
your willingness to discourse with such scary folks.
