Re: RE: Owyhee High Country

Hi Steph,

This may the one ride I someday haul a long distance to go to! If anyone
remembers from their childhood a series of books by Glenn Balch called the
Tack Ranch series (Lost Horse, Christmas Horse, Wild Horse Tamer, etc, with
main characters being children Ben and Dixie), it was set near the Owyhee
high country area. That always sounded so wild and wonderful, and your ride
has sparked my interest. Living in that area, do you remember those books?
Glenn Balch is out of print, and his books collectors items. They were some
of the best horse books I ever read as a child, and as an adult, I have
collected the whole series.

Karen
