Shaky trot and congratulations!

Hey y'all,

My horse, Miad, did a very funny thing while on the GERA Fundraiser 50 mile ride Saturday.  We were trotting down the trail, big trot, hot and sweaty, and he suddenly did an extremely vigorous, full body shake and never missed a step, kept right on with the big trot.  It was like riding an earthquake for a few seconds.  I was amazed he could do that and keep trotting . . . he's done it before at the walk and slow trot, but this was something new.  Anyone else's horse ever done that?

Congratulations to all the PAC horses and riders, whether you completed or not, how awesome to have been there and done that!!  Way to go, USA East!!

And congratulations, and hearty thanks, to all the horses and riders who attempted the challenging 25 and 50 mile ride down here at Dawson Forest WMA in Dawsonville, Georgia this weekend.  We got rocks, don't we?  And mean bees, too.  It was a tough trail, and hot humid southern weather, but as usual it was a blast.  Hope to see you all back here next year. Happy trails . . .

Missy Whitmire, Georgia Endurance Riders Assoc.
