Re: RC: Tevis Completion Percentage This Year

a new section of trial Just like a lawyer. Of course I can't tell you how many things I have filed at Court that say Trail instead of Trial.

I think Tevis has a low completion rate because it is number one an extremely difficult ride and trail. Also, Tevis typically has a lot of riders who have never done a 100, are riding leased horses they have never seen before, have no experience even on 50's, etc. etc.

I loaned my two horses to the Italians a while back and neither horse had ever done a 100. One of the riders was a good rider who had done at least one 50 and the other was a good rider who had never gone more than 25 or 30 in his life. Both finished but they were very good and did what I told them. Rocco wanted to quit at Michigan but Pietro told him that the horse would have 1,000 miles if he finished so he hung in there. My other horse's back was a little sore so Pietro said to get another saddle and he would change at Foresthill. He said just get one comfortable for the horse and he would manage. And he did.......
