Tip for carrying elytes on the trail

Judy Long julong@cisco.com

In reading the recent electrolyte posts and hearing about
carrying syringes on the trail, I thought I would mention how
Nick and I carry electrolytes in case someone would find it easier.
We mix up Enduramax and applesauce in a water bottle and
carry the bottle and a syringe in a small bag on the saddle. When we
need to electrolyte we just pour the stuff into the syringe.
It's worked out better than trying to carry full syringes or
mix electrolytes when we're on the trail.

FYI, I recall from the Gayle Ecker (and Art King?) study at the
ROC in 1995 that someone made a prediction about the winner
early on based on the results of the blood work done during
the race.
