For anyone planning to attend the Spring Fling 30/55 mile ride in Vale, Oregon this weekend....BRING BUG SPRAY!!!   We are experiencing a very unusual "hatch" of what the experts are calling "Buffalo Flies" or "blackflys".  They are not much problem as long as you are moving, but once you stop it can be pretty miserable.  Lots of locals are wearing face nets when doing outdoor activites.  I suggest fly masks for your horses and lots of insect repellant.  It will be a nice ride....don't let the bugs "bug" you!!!!
