RE:Relocation
You should check out the Redding area. Land is still fairly cheap, especially
compared to the Auburn area. Shasta county has cheap electricity, they own their
own power co. Also the Whiskey town Lake area has tons of trails and an endurance
ride there as well. Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen are near by with several lakes in
the area. If you can stand the heat in the summer it is a great place. The hottest
day of my life was in Redding in 1981, it was 120 degrees. But, there are some
neat areas in the higher elevations with the heat not so bad. Endurance rides
within an hour are Whiskeytown, Flatwoods, Lassen Challenge, and Oroville. Oregon
is 2hrs away with 3-4 rides.
