IntNewsGroup-AHSA Horse Recording Fee Waiver

AHSA Horse Recording Fee Update (5/7/01):

The annual horse recording fee has been waived for this year for endurance horses. This waiver applies only to U.S. horses competing in CEIs (categories A and B) in the United States during the year 2001. This waiver does not apply to the lifetime recording fee for horses requiring national or FEI passports (i.e., the Pan Am horses are not included in this waiver). Horse owners will still need to submit the "Horse Recording Application" in order to provide all required registration information for their horses. It is the fee only that is being waived for the year 2001.

In addition, if anyone has already annually recorded a horse and wants a refund of the $50 fee, he/she will need to send a letter (via mail or fax) to the membership department. The letter should include the owner's name, the horse's name, the horse's AHSA number, the fact that this is an endurance horse, and a refund request.

Once again, this fee waiver does not apply to the lifetime recording, which is still required for those people ordering national or FEI passports to compete in the Pan Am or abroad.

If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Singleton, AHSA Endurance Director – Phone: 859-225-6985.
