clairification on bridle

When my horse flipped his head and the bridle came off, it was because the chin strap (made of biothane) had broke in half. The second time it happend, the chin strap was fairly new (also biothane) and it also broke in half. I am on my third biothane chin strap with the new aluminum shanks. If this one breaks, I will just have to learn how to race bridleless! Look out!! Lisa

Lisa,
I don't think what your bridle is made of would have made a difference.  I use a halter/bridle with a little S hackamore and my horse likes to flip his head around once in a while.  Never had it come off.  I guess I would be thinking of trying one... that's too scary to contemplate!!  :)
