Around here jimsonweed
(http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/jimsonweed/jimsonweed.html) is called
locoweed; but more commonly locoweed is a different plant, astragalus,
(http://www.pprl.usu.edu/the_pathogenesis_of_locoweed_poisoning.htm).

Both should be avoided.
