Quest and neurological problems

Barb Peck bpeck@together.net
My Vet does not recommend Quest.
Quest kills worms by attacking their
Central Nervous system.
He beleives there will be some horses
that will have a neurological susceptibility
and it's not worth the risk.

I'll tell you one good thing the topical use
of Quest is good for though:
Main and tail mites.. In wet cool summers,
if the horses start rubbing their manes, a couple
a applications of Quest rubbed into the skin of
the mane will kill them. Use gloves though.
Penetration into the skin is just a few millimeters
but it's enough to kill the mites.
