you know you're in trouble when:

You know you're in trouble when:
1.Ride management warns of a very ripe dead moose in the trail on a loop you have to do three times.
2.When you're about 20 miles into a 50, haven't seen ribbons for a while, and you meet an outfitter with a pack string who hasn't seen anyother riders except you!
3.you're convinced beyond a doubt that the glow sticks on the horses up ahead of you are a swarm of giant fire flies.
4.You're dead last on a 100 and ride management has already locked up one of several gates that you have to go through.
     5. It's so dark you can't see your horses ears.
     6. It's so dark you can't see your horses ears and you're going down that canyon after Forest Hills and all of a sudden the muffled clomp, clomp, of your horses hooves on the trail becomes a load crashing a crackling as your horses misses a switch back.
7.You are on your way back on your trot out and the vet is down on one knee squinting hard at your horse.
8.You're the first ones into the first vet check in record time even though you started last, went very slowly and never passed anyone.
9.You meet hikers coming from where you're going, carrying arm loads of the same color ribbon that you've been following.
10.You wake up in the morning and your horse is tied to the trailer in somebody else's halter(oh yes, and your electric fence is stretched the entire length of ride camp.)
  11.   you can't remember your name when filling out the ride entry
