Having seen many a large man compete nicely on a "larger" Arab at 15-1 or 
15-2, I beg to differ.  Certainly I wouldn't advise a 6'5" man to buy one on 
the smaller end of the scale, but it has been my experience that the rub with 
a 15-1 Arab that can pack a large man admirably is often turned down because 
the man says he "feels" funny on him.  My nearly 6' husband is now happily 
riding our 14-3 hh boys, and admitted that when he first started on them it 
felt "strange" but now he is thrilled because they are far more agile and 
carry him better than the larger non-Arabs on which he competed in Europe.
