I don't have this issue, but did you talk about using borium
with your farrier?  If you do, you might want rimpads, too.
A friend of mine has borium put on her mares shoes (more
because of excessive wear), but had to resort to putting
on rimpads because the borium was soring her horses hooves
otherwise.

I think those Sneakers might wear away too quickly and are
probably pretty expensive.
