USET TO HOST ONLINE AUCTION OF SPECIALTY ITEMS

Gladstone, NJ – November 30, 2000 – Just in time for
holiday shopping, the United States Equestrian Team
(USET) is hosting an online auction of three specialty
items online at www.uset.org.

Artisan, Joseph McCabe, created an avian replica of
the historic USET stables. This amazing duplication of
the USET’s stables and Olympic training center in
Gladstone, NJ is featured on both the USET Christmas
catalogue and USET Christmas card. The minimum bid is
$400.00. The birdhouse is 52in X 24in.

Additionally, up for bid are three USET 50th
Anniversary scarves. Each scarf was signed in Sydney
by the USET Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage
Olympic teams. Minimum bid on each scarf is $125.00.

Breyer, maker of the world’s finest model horses, has
teamed with the USET to continue to showcase
world-class Olympic and International equine sports
through the Breyer Gallery/USET Olympic Disciplines
series. Continuing the series, “Courage” depicts a
pair of athletes jumping over a cross country water
jump. Crafted in detailed fine porcelain, “Courage”
is presented on a hardwood presentation base with a
brass plaque. Bidding begins at $200.00.

Bids can be placed by email to Linda Reizen at
lreizen@uset.org. Please include your name, address,
phone number and bid. Highest bid will be posted each
day. The auction will end on December 20 and items
will be delivered by December 25. Make sure you hit
refresh/reload button when checking for the latest
bid.

The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit
organization that selects, trains, equips and finances
equestrians of the highest possible standard to
represent our country in major international
competition, including the Olympic Games and the World
Championships. To accomplish this the USET seeks out
and nurtures the development of talented athletes -
riders, drivers and horses - and provides the support
and guidance they need to help them attain their
fullest potential. For more information on the USET,
please call (908) 234-1251, or visit USET ONLINE at
