Re: Fat Pac

Yup, same stuff, just a different bag.  Start slow and go for it, it's great stuff.  Two cups of the prilled fats (what you just bought) is equivalent in energy to one cup of liquid fats.

Don't overlook some beet pulp to help put the weight on as well.  Very good base to mix the fat pak into, and top dressing with a little brown sugar to get them to try it is an old trick that works well.

good luck,

Subject: RC: Fat Pac

I have a TB that is difficult to keep weight on. He is also a picky eater and refuses his grain if there are more than a few spoonfuls of oil on it.
I ordered a bag of Fat Pac through my local grain supplier hoping he might eat that better. It  ---Fat Pac  100--    came labeled for pigs. Just pigs.
Ingredients are listed as : Animal fat  partially hydrogenated ( preserved with BHA, BHT, citric acid and propyl gallantel).
Is this the right stuff?
Susan????

Thanks!
Vicki
