I will agree with the Professional's Choice brand.  I use the short Quick 
Wrap splint boots for the front and the ankle boots in the back.  Both well 
made, last a long time, do not shift, seem comfortable to the horse, and 
because of Velcro, are infinitely adjustable and very easy and quick to put 
on.  I've never had a problem with them rubbing.  They seem about as 
foolproof as it is possible to have.  Not cheap, but worth the price.  
Machine washable, too.  Because of the padded leather reinforcement over the 
joint/splint areas, I use a leather wash when I put them in the machine and 
hang to air dry.
