thanks to those who respnded about this saddle. i know now i really got
a bargain and may just hold onto it for awhile...it is a stubben
krefeld and it has a brass plate with 3450 stamped on it on the cantle.
the  whole saddle is in excellent condition, leather is soft and mostly
supple, no need for repair or restuffing, stirrup leathers and leather
girth straps are in excellent condition.....i got several websites and
great feed back so thanks for your help. Happy

got an almost brand new Billy Cook roping saddle with leather breast
collar for $200.00 for my western riding husband!!!! those are the kind
of deals you just LOVE to find....
