Ponies are great!!! Our little Welsh had no problem doing Camp Far West 25
when my daughter was 8, though I believe we did put shoes on her for the
conditioning and actual ride. Just check heart rates and other parameters.
How old is the pony?  Ours was probably 16 when she did the ride. Some
ponies are very tough, and do better than the larger horses!
