Missed Ya!
Nancy Loving was a great speaker. We only had the one this year so we could 
go into greater depth than usual. She gave us a lot to think about 
concerning how much it's "right" for us to ask of our horses. Especially in 
our region where we have rides 10-11 months of the year. Using photo slides 
taken at actual rides we could see various horses at checks & find out who 
was pulled, who wasn't, which ones went on but didn't complete the ride, and 
some that ended up being treated. It was stressed that we as riders are 
responsible for taking a good objective look at our horses since we have so 
much more information about them than the vets who only see them for 2 
minutes at a check.
We also covered shoeing & nutrition.
Crews N the Bar K is April 22, not 11. Christmas in Kansas will NOT be a 
night ride as some of our flyers state.
I also have the OCER ride schedule posted on an Ozark Country Endurance 
Riders page at www.ciwtrailers.com  Any OCER ride managers who send me ride 
notices & corrections can get them posted there between newsletters, so 
check there before the rides. Don't forget www.aerccentralregion.org for all 
the Central Region Rides and stories. Mike needs all the news stories & 
photos member want to send to keep this site interesting!!!
