Is she riding fast on a hard surface? Sometimes those cracks can be caused by concussion. Only thing to do that I know of is let them grow out, and not ride fast on hard surfaces. Seems like they take forever to grow out. My mare also had one from a cut to her coronary band. Minor cut, minor crack. We were lucky, it's growing out without any permanent damage apparently. jeri
