Ditto MN and WI.  Actually I think MN is 2000 lb.  I would guess that the
laws in most states are similar.


If you want to become a believer in trailer brakes, try stopping a brakeless
trailer on ice and snow.  You should hope you are headed South on a straight
road, cause you won't stop until you hit dry pavement.
