Re: EMT's ambulances on rides

Have to jump in here---you are sooo absolutely WRONG if what you are saying
is that going off a cliff means you did something stupid..ie..going to fast
or not paying attention to the trail ahead---soooo wrong...! We used to pull
long strings of horses and mules over and through some of the steepest and
most rugged country that you can imagine in the Beartooth Wilderness of
Montana---At times we'd have 30 head loaded and going up those
trails...these were all experienced mountain mules and horses...many of the
trails were narrow...just wide enough to accomodate the width of the
animals...we were always moving slowly and the animals were carefully
picking there way--yet there were occasions when one of the animals
tripped--or a little piece of the trail gave way...or whatever...and one ,
or several would fall off the trail...in all those years we only lost one
horse(had to shoot him because he broke a leg in the fall) but we were just
lucky...a trip, a misstep, a lose rock..whatever..it doesn't take much. You
are so wrong to blame this horses fall on rider error...I'm thinking that I
must have misunderstood your post---it's so far off target.
