RE: Rider Conditioning - kcals

Oh yeah, that was the other topic I wanted to address: In most cases you
should not go below 1200 cals/day. Most of us need at least 1100 just for
our basal metabolic rate...basic life requirements. Bottom line is this :
Body composition is the direct result of calories taken in (eating)vs
calories used (activity)!!!

Subject: RC: Rider Conditioning

I to have been conditioning my self to get in better shape for endurance
and I don't get as sore as mush after al long 50 miler.
I am on a special low carb diet and it has been helping allot. But if I am
hungry I don't starve my self till dinner.
I have learned if you do go on a 800 or 1000 cal diet and don't
get enough energy your body will hang on to your fat and burn your muscle
first. So I eat low carb stuff during the day then I get a "reward" meal at
the end of the day that has plenty of carbs in it.
You must drink a ton of water to if you wanna drop some pounds.
I drink about 9 glasses a day. I just keep drinkin'. That way your
body will dispose of any toxins and plus its much healthier.
So good luck and don't get discouraged.
