You can also get an Equine Event Extension which extends the healt certificate
to 180 days for travel in the states of GA, AL and FL. All that is required is
to send a copy of the health certificate along with notorizied copies of the
coggins to the state for the permit to be issued. In FL, at least, this service
is free of charge.
