Re: one jugular

Hi, Linda. I'd really appreciate hearing some more from you, because I have
been told by a vet (not mine, another vet) that I am "cruel" to be riding my
horse, and that I should retire him. She also said that he could "have a
heart attack" and fall on me one day, so I was taking my life in my hands.
Admittedly, she has never seen my horse (ergo, should not have commented)
but this type of comment from a vet tends to stick in the back of one's mind
(let alone what it does to the back of one's throat!)

My own vet says that Toc is the fittest "bugger" he has seen in years, and
that I should keep on doing whatever I'm doing, but that if both jugulars
were blocked, I would have to retire him, because it would place too much
strain on him. Hence, I want to make every effort to ensure that he doesn't
need to be IV'd, if possible.
