Re: EPM

I just got home from an excellent short course sponsored jointly by Rutgers
and Penn State, about half the day was dedicated to EPM. I have some
hand-outs I could snail-mail you if you'd like. The speaker covered all the
current treatments, both approved and not-yet approved. It seemed that all
treatments produced a success rate of about 70%, a fact the speaker
commented on ~ it seems that none of the drug studies had a control group,
all the horses in the study received the drug being tested, just in
different doses. His point was that perhaps ~ about 70% recover regardless
of how they are treated (or not treated). Very interesting stuff!
