One thought was that it made them a little too excited. However, having doe
it in a few hudred situations myself, now, I haven't seen that delayed 
recovery. However, all of these horses are working very hard during a ride.

I'm not quite sure that I follow you here Tom  ,  I know both the times
that my horse's pulse was up and hanging at the check's when I was carbo
charging I was running with the front runner's and his attitude /actions
was the same as at other ride's without the carbo charge . No more / no
less excitement .How about anyone else ??
