Realize that some of this mis-reporting is at the instigation of the riders.
They do not want any one to know their horse was lame or not in the best of
condition. The stigma of poor horsemanship is not attached to rider option
as it is to the others. Pridde enters left stage!

Trust me when I say that things are not done the same way in all regions.
