I don't believe that your sponge is the cleanest thing
on you and, if you are like me and use fly spray on
your mount, it will come off on your sponge and I
don't want my horse to drink fly spray.  I usually am
in the middle of the pack and I don't know what's been
in the water at stops when it looks dirty.  I can only
guess it is a sponge.  Use a scoop to keep the water
clean, please!
