Mountain Side 50

Once again, the Mountain Side 50, at Whiskey Town Rec.Area (Redding, CA)
was a GREAT ride.  Mike and Gail out did themselves packing the parking
places to the max for approx. 70 - 50 milers and 20 or so 30 milers.  It
was three loops for the 50's with the first check at 12 miles.  The
course changed a bit from last year and this first check added.  It was
very humid and about 2pm the skys opened up and drenched us all.
However, the trail was not as muddy as one might expect and except in
spots was o.k. It's a good work out....lots of hill work to get those
old muscles ready for the big T.
