Sue:  It depends on the horse!  Keep checking the heel bulb.  You don't 
want it to get soft or tender.  I've left boots on for an entire week but 
generally prefer to take them off each night (on a multiday) and inspect 
the foot and make sure everything is okay.  Often, I have put the boots on 
the horse on a Friday and then taken them off on Sunday night.  It all just 
depends.....if you're horses are in the MUD at all, then you'll want to be 
careful about leaving them on for extended periods.
