I don't think this is the best approach.  Anyone who shows interest now may 
not be able to attend when the time comes. And some will come who will not 
commit at this time.  Best bet is to go ahead and do it, see how many come, 
and then decide whether you want to do it again next year. Sometimes it takes 
a couple of years to establish a solid "ridership".
