RE: eye ointments
Maggie,
The two ointments may contain the same antibiotics but formulation of the
two ointments are different. You should never use an eye ointment with any
kind of steroid in it in the eye unless you are sure there are no abrasions
on the eye. The best way to be sure of this is to stain it (your vet has a
special paper to do this with). One should probably always have a swollen
or angry eye checked out by your vet. Remember no eye no horse. Blind
horses are not safe to ride as a rule. Hope this helps.
