Arab/QH cross

Hi Mary! (And other Arab/QH owners out there).

I saw your post about the Arab/QH you have, and wanted to ask how he is
doing as an endurance horse. I have one in training. His dad (the Arab) is
a fantastic endurance horse. His mom is an old-fashioned cutting horse --
short and stocky. Mig is half-way in between in build. I want to do
endurance on him, but have been wondering how well he would do with his
stockier build. I've always figured he'd be fine for limited distance, but
that 50s might be stretching it for him. Maybe I underestimate him! What's
your experience?

How is your water trough insulation system working? It hasn't been cold
enough here (except for a couple of mornings) that I've needed to have the
insulation on. I'm just using a cover, not going around the outside of the
tank.
