Hey y'all,
To give you non-Californians a reality check, we paid 450,000 for our 15
acre ranch in Atascadero (next to Paso
Robles-- Central Coast--)in 1989 and felt we made a steal. We were from
Camarillo (near Ventura, just South of Santa Barbara (you know, the soap
opera beautiful people?)) and knew the same piece of property would have
sold for over a million in Ventura County and we would have been
landlocked-- not next to a riverbed with a 5/8 mi. racetrack on the
property. Of course all of this was before we were defrauded by CA
realtors here and back when we had money (you know, the green stuff you
used to have before you had horses?)
We have been blown over to hear of the prices of farms in other parts of
the country. We knew we were paying for wonderful weather and
breathtaking scenery but never knew how much until recently. We've
thought about relocating, but have you ever tried to move long distances
with many critters. Besides, IT"S THE CHEESE! Not!
And we have Brad Pitt.
