I guess you never saw the $200,000 fixer-upper that Time magazine had in one
of their issues several years ago.  I have actually seen the 'house'  (I'm
using the term verrrrry lightly).  It was what was apparently left of an OLD
homestead on a highway in California (although I cannot recall now which
one).   From the looks of it, it must have been from about the mid to late
1800's.  It was slanted, as if it would fall over any moment and you could
see daylight through each and every sideboard!  I suspect the price was
strictly for the land (I think a rather small parcel...), but the joke was
that the price was typical for a California 'fixer-upper' ...:)
