and my personal favorite is alpine/downhill skiing (especially hiking to the
stuff that other people don't want to ski). work that butt and those quads and
calves. stretching and massage DEFINITELY helps afterwards.

unfortunately, 2 weekends ago, i was hiking and carrying my skis and tweaked
my lower back. NSAIDs helped. as well as icing and heating, but the best
"cure/fix" was a good old professional massage. i was back up and skiing and
riding just this last weekend.
