Good/bad for endurance
Heather asked "haven't high fat diets been around long enough for us to
know if its good or bad?"
I'm not sure anyone saying that any of these feeds/supplements are good
or bad, but instead whether one kind of feed/supplement might get
better results than the next.
On another note, I find it interesting (and I am grateful) that there
actually are people out there experimenting with how things are done in
our sport. I can tell you that people who try something different - not
just with horses! - will get slammed, no matter how pleasant they are
and no matter how clearly they point out that they are trying something
new (been there, done that!). You'd think that everyone would be glad
that someone else is taking the experimental risk, but it just ain't so.
Of course, it's not only a human thing - all sorts of pack & herd
animals have bad reactions to members of the group who refuse to conform
or strike out on their own. For me, the reporting of experiments and
experience on Ridecamp is the absolutely best thing the list has to
offer. Lif
