no forage?



Well, apparently they must do it to some extent- I happen to be reading
Raswan's book about his tr\ip to the desert ( Drinkers of the Wind) (and
his adventures among the Arab tribes) and apparently the horses made do
with camel's milk a lot of the time... and that is just amazing to me
until i think that the milk is probably pretty well balanced... of course
the horses were emaciated ... but they did do a lot of mileage in
desert... 
Don't think it's something I would care to try though.
Can't wait to read more on this...
