RE: carbo-charge

>>Who else uses it? Didn't Steph try it? Results please....in laymen's
terms.

My only real experience with the stuff was doing multidays
in '98. We weren't racing, just doing the miles and it seemed
to give the horses a nice boost. But I didn't monitor their
glucose levels, it just 'seemed' to help. I don't use it on Khruschev
because he really never seems to tire - at least at a 10 mph
pace competition. And he eats like a pig, and I'm constantly
trying to get the weight off of him.
Faster than 10 mpg??? I don't know, it's a little scary to
me to introduce a new protocol at this point. "it ain't broke".

I think I'll watch and listen for a while longer...

Steph

p.s. I will probably buy a glucometer and start learning
what his baseline is during training. W/o the numbers
it definitely feels like shooting in the dark. Once I
understand better what's happening, and get an idea of
what his performance is like at faster speeds, I might
play around a little more seriously.
