Re: Dogs



Its not necessary to teach your horse to hate dogs. but, it is handy to
teach them to chase them. Its just like cow dog training. just turn your
horse to face the dog. Most time the dog is so surprised he'll stop. and
after a few turn , the horse gets the idea.
Remember dogs are prey animals and will chase anything that goes away from
it. A big animal that faces it down is not a good choice for food and even
most wolves put in this same situation will back down.
So, after you turn your horse to face the dog, speak to the dog. Don't
shout, but tell the dog firmly something like go home. Doesn't really matter
what lousy as long as its firm.
