Re: RC: Arabs AREN't Dumb

This reminds me of my gelding and his half brother. they're good buddies and
also like to get into trouble together. Where I board the dry lot is divided
from the pasture by electric fence, and normally that works quite well. But one
spring my friend (who owns the place, and the other horse) kept finding the
horses tearing down the fence but couldn't find the culprit. She was getting
very tired of mending fence, when she finally saw the problem. The 2 geldings
would gang up on a mare low in the pecking order and chase her through the
fence. that way she got zapped and they still got to the grass (before we
deemed it ready). Another time my friend caught my gelding looking wistfully
across the wire and all she had to do was bellow "Don't even think about it!" He
looked at her, hung his head, and moved away from the fence. Busted! And some
people believe horses can't think!
