presumption

In a women's history class I once had the prof. laid down the rule: "We
assume that everyone was doing the best they could." This eliminated a lot
of bad feelings between class members. I try to remember this. Also, I do
my best to take others comments in a positive way if at all possible, and
not the contrary. This way, I get the most from this list, which, by the
way, has been extremely informative. Thanks!
