Absolutely!! Our equine dentist is a wealth of knowledge! I learned so much in one hour! He really knew his stuff! Didn't just take off the sharp edges, but also put what he called (I think this is right) a bit roll on the edge of those front teeth where the bit rests so it doesn't bang up against those teeth and hurt.... of course, I use a sidepull and it doesn't do me any good now but I think it's a sound idea. Some vets are very good at doing teeth but there are a few in our area who don't really take the time to "see" what they are doing in the horse's mouth. One vet floated the teeth down almost all the way to the gums on one of our client's horses! He was 20 + and the same vet always did it, did the same thing whether it was needed or not..... it's a shame. But, our experience has been positive and we highly recommend our guy to ALL our clients who need one! Maggie
