free market

on the comment about the free market and the cost of raising a horse
doesn't matter.  Actually, in the free market, the cost of producing the
product is VERY important, as is having a market for the product.  If
breeding endurance horses doesn't "pencil out", there may not be a market
for your particular "brand" of breed.  Find the market or produce for the
market.
But heck, breed and raise your horses for the love of it.  I do (but I
don't sell).
